Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority (JAFZA) has been established in 1985 and is the oldest free zone in the United Arab Emirates. It is home to over 8,000 companies including almost 100 Fortune 500 companies. The Free Zone is perfectly located geographically which is directly linked to one of the busiest ports in the world and around half an hour away from 2 international airports namely Al Maktoum International Airport and Dubai International Airport. JAFZA is mostly used for manufacturing, tobacco trading. Sea cargo services, consultancy, and transport services. JAFZA contributes around 23 percent of Dubai’s GDP and attracts more than 32 percent of foreign direct investment. JAFZA has the 7th largest port in the world which is the Jebel Ali Port and the world largest cargo airport which is the Al Maktoum airport.
